Hello & welcome to The Wardrobe, a women's clothing boutique that offers a wide range of items to be enjoyed. From casual day tops to going 'out out' dresses, bags and accessories all wrapped up in a welcoming and relaxed shopping environment.

Our shop occupies an historic location at the centre of Market Square. As one of the oldest retail establishments in Georgian Ampthill, it has known many lives and uses, from Ampthill's Bazaar and Rug Shop to the main offices of a local newspaper back in the 19th Century. The Wardrobe has now been totally refurbished and offers a bright and welcoming atmosphere, a changing room and a comfortable sofa to sit and enjoy your shopping experience.

With its commanding presence on the Market Square and free parking just yards away in the Waitrose and town centre car park, I hope the shop will be a 'must visit' destination on your next shopping spree to Ampthill..

But who am I?

Hello! I am Tricia Judge and my shop, The Wardrobe has recently opened in the centre of the bustling Georgian market town of Ampthill. Born and raised in Bedfordshire, I have long held the wish to open a ladies fashion boutique in this beautiful part of the country.

My love affair with fashion retail started at the age of fourteen when I got my first job as a Saturday girl in 'Gladrags' in Luton - remember it? On leaving school, I strayed from my passion and pursued careers in nursing and estate agency but I never lost my love for clothes and shopping - as my bank balance occasionally reminds me! What I hope my diverse life experience has given me over the years is the ability to help people with practical and honest advice.

The dream of running my own clothes boutique stayed with me and at the grand old age of fifty-two, a unique opportunity presented itself - the perfect shop, in the perfect position and in the town I call home. Some might have considered it a 'no-brainer', I prefer to think of it as serendipity!

With much support and help from my future husband and family, The Wardrobe has been a triumph. Our aim is to offer our customers quality clothing and accessories at affordable prices. We also want to create a welcoming, relaxed and stylish shopping experience for customers of all ages and tastes to enjoy. We believe passionately in offering an excellent personal service, encouraging customers to try different colours and styles.

A FEW MONTHS ON...

One of the greatest pleasures I've had since opening is to hear people say 'Thank you. I would never have tried that style on and I love it!' The opportunity to do this, greatly helped by the range of excellent brands we offer; Darling, B. Young, Vero Moda, Louche, Soaked in Luxury, Suzy D, Sixton, Fever, Deck and Unique 21, are all labels regularly available in The Wardrobe. We are always on the lookout for new and exciting additions to compliment the range.
